Automotive manufacturers rely on rigorous testing and simulations to construct their vehicles durable safe in all aspects. One such vital factor is crash safety, otherwise known as crashworthiness. Crash tests are conventional forms of non-destructive methods validate the vehicle for its crashworthiness compatibility based different operating conditions. The frontal impact test most primary form test, which focuses improving passenger's safety comfort. According NHTSA, a rated these criteria, automobile conduct plethora crash-related studies. Numerical simulation aids them cutting down time overall cost endured by providing reliable amount insights into process. current study aimed at box lightweight passenger car, that it becomes more energy absorbent terms impacts. All necessary parameters absorption, mean crush force, specific force efficiencies evaluated analytical finite element methods. There was decent agreement between results, with an accuracy 97%. improved help DOE-based response surface methodology (RSM).
